About Imafidon Thomas Izekor

Originally from Nigeria, Dr. Imafidon Thomas Izekor is a family physician who has served in the department of family medicine at Saskatchewan Health Authority in Canada since 2014. He also functioned as an ER physician in both Saskatchewan and Alberta and was a SIPPA family physician candidate at Melfort Union Hospital. Dr. Imafidon Thomas Izekor passed all three evaluation exams and the NAC OSCE through the Medical Council of Canada and holds an LMCC certificate in Canada.

Prior to moving to Canada, Dr. Izekor earned his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery as well as his doctor of medicine from the University of Lagos, where he also completed post-graduate general practice training in medicine, surgery, pediatrics, psychiatry, and obstetrics/gynecology. Dr. Izekor published research in the Nigerian Quarterly Journal of Hospital Medicine and presented at the 16th Canadian Conference on International Health.

in addition to his work as a physician, Dr. Izekor contributes his time to the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS and the Action Group on Adolescent Health. He also belongs to the Canadian Medical Association and the Saskatchewan Medical Association.
